EMERGENCY RELIEF FOR MOROCCO

On September 8, 2023, around 11pm local time, the strongest earthquake in over 100 years struck Morocco with a magnitude of 6.8. The epicenter was in the High Atlas Mountains, where we plant argan trees, 44 miles (71 km) south-west of Marrakesh. The disaster caused an overwhelming loss of life with the Moroccan government reporting 3000 deaths, in addition to more than 5600 people injured.

Most of the houses in the rural regions have been destroyed by the earthquake. To help the women and families affected by the disaster, FRÉ is donating to the High Atlas Foundation  EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER. This fund will provide immediate relief for families in the High Atlas Mountains. These are communities that we have worked with for years, together with our partners at the High Atlas Foundation, and we are also committed to their long-term restoration and rebuilding.
