Skincare is extremely important to me. I've always been pretty good about taking care of my skin, but now that I'm 30 I feel like its a whole different ball game. Since I work out, I’m more likely to get bacteria and impurities in my skin from the gym. This means I have to be cautious of clogged pores and preventing breakouts.
Since turning 30, one of the things that I have changed in my skincare routine is to only wash my face once a day. I used to do it twice a day, but it was drying my skin a lot, which leads to wrinkles… no Bueno. I typically wash my face in the morning after my gym session, then at night, I use some Micellar water to cleanse and refresh my skin. I moisturize with serum and use a jade roller to help it penetrate into the skin even more. I also use the Charlotte Tilbury eye cream and once a week I'll use Tata Harper eye mask.
I had never heard of FRÉ until a couple of months ago, and boy was I glad I did. Their skincare line is organic and they help the environment: for every set sold, they plant an Argan tree in Morocco. They contacted me to do a product review since their skincare line is formulated for women who work out, so I tried it out and was very surprised at how much I liked it. It keeps my face moisturized for the entire day, but not in an oily way. I feel like they know exactly what my skin needs in order not to break out from my sweat sessions.
Just recently, they debuted their DETOX ME mask and I am obsessed. You can use it every day after your workout session and that is exactly what I do. I leave the mask on for 1-2 minutes, as I'm getting my shower ready, and then take it off inside the shower. I then proceed to cleanse my face with the PURIFY ME cleanser. When I get out of the shower, I moisturize with the PROTECT ME cream and REVIVE ME serum.
